For Helping Professionals
Joy is currently applying to be a Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Registered Play Therapists (RPT). She is a play therapy leader, dynamic presenter, and published author who has been licensed since 2017 and a RPT since 2020. Her approach to clinical supervision, as well as therapy, is Solution-Focused. Her encouragement and practicality will be woven from case conceptualization to professional identity exploration, ethics, administration, practicing interventions, and more.
Joy understands that a practitioner’s competence is made up of their clinical and professional knowledge, attitudes, and skills which develop best in a strong supervisory relationship. With this in mind, she will facilitate sandtray, role play and expressive arts as part of the supervision process. Please fill out the contact form for more information or to schedule an interview.
See you at APT!
I created, submitted and was accepted for the first time to present at the 39th Annual APT International Conference. My training is informed by two things I think many play therapists need: great rapport with caregivers at the beginning of the relationship and theoretical grounding.
I hope to see you there!
